Privacy policy

How Eduvium collects, uses and protects the personal data you share with us, including cookies, and how to exercise your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Last updated 20 Oct 2026

This policy explains what personal data Eduvium ("we", "us") collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect when you send an enquiry

  • your name and mobile number
  • your email address and city, if you give them
  • where you are in your studies and what you want to study
  • anything you write in the message box, such as marks, ranks or budget
  • the page you sent the enquiry from, and the college or course on that page, if any
  • how you found us (campaign tags in the link, or the website that referred you)
  • your IP address and browser details, which we keep with the enquiry to stop spam and abuse

Cookies and site analytics

Every visit adds to anonymous daily totals: which page was viewed, how the visitor arrived, their approximate city and their device type. No cookie, ID or IP address is stored for these totals.

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we also set a visitor ID cookie and record the pages you visit, how you found us, your approximate city, region and country (from our host's IP lookup), your device, browser, operating system, language and screen size. Your IP address is stored only as a one-way scrambled code, used to recognise repeat visits. If you later send an enquiry, your page history is linked to it so a counsellor can understand what you were looking at.

If you click Reject, nothing is recorded about you, and anything recorded earlier for that browser is deleted. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Visitor records are deleted after 13 months.

Why we use it

  • to call, message or email you about your enquiry
  • to provide the counselling you ask us for, and keep a record of the advice we give
  • to understand which pages help students and improve the site
  • to meet our legal obligations

We process enquiry data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form, and analytics data on the basis of your cookie choice. We don't sell personal data.

Students under 18

If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to send the enquiry, or to give consent on your behalf. We don't knowingly process a child's personal data without a parent's or guardian's consent.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers who run this website for us: our hosting provider, our database provider and the email service that delivers enquiry alerts to our team. They may store data outside India.
  • A college, university or counselling body, only when you ask us to help with an application to it.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer. Visitor analytics records are deleted after 13 months.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct, complete or update it
  • ask us to erase it
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it)
  • raise a grievance with us, and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you are unable to

To use any of these rights, contact us. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the admin panel is protected by individual logins, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to help you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date shown on this page.
