KIET used to be a college affiliated to AKTU, filling B.Tech seats through UPTAC counselling. It now describes itself as KIET Deemed to be University and runs its own admissions.
How B.Tech admission works now
According to KIET's admission procedure, applicants register on KIET's own portal and are shortlisted on one of these:
- JEE Main rank
- KIET Entrance Examination (KEE) score
- CUET-UG score
- Class 12 merit
Eligibility is Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

- Apply on KIET's own admission portal; UPTAC counselling no longer covers KIET seats.
- Check KIET's website for the current year's dates, fees and seat matrix before you pay anything.
